About…

Ethan brings a unique versatility to film scoring with wide ranging experience and vast musical background. At the age of 18, he composed the music for horror feature, Self-Storage (2019), through which he fell in love with the art and process of fitting music to picture and creating unique sonic landscapes. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work for some of the most accomplished composers in Hollywood, including Benjamin Wallfisch, Pancho Burgos, and Theodore Shapiro, where he has been part of the music department for films such as: Ron Howard’s “Thirteen Lives”, D.C’s “The Flash”, Unbreakable Boy” starring Zachary Levi, and “Trolls Band Together”, to name a few. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Screen Scoring masters program at the University of Southern California, where he was the recipient of The Sandra & Alan Silvestri Scholarship awarded to the top ranked applicant to the program, and was selected by the faculty to receive the Joe and Alice Harnell Scholar for Screen Scoring Award at the culmination of the program. 

Ethan holds a B.M., summa cum laude, in Media Composition and Commercial Writing from Cal State University Northridge, following in the footsteps of his parents who were both graduates of the CSUN music department. His work at CSUN was recognized with the media composition department’s Igor Paltsev Scholarship, as well the Dean’s Recognition Award. He was also inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society during his junior year.
